If Buy to Let mortgages are something of a mystery to you, then our Q&A should answer most of your questions.

1) How much can I borrow?

Typically, a lender will allow you to borrow up to 85% of the value of the property. Often, to achieve better rates of interest, the lender will forward as little as 70 or 75%.

2) Maximum and minimum size of the loan?

The maximum size of the loan will be between £500,000 and £1m, but becoming much more flexible recently with some lenders offering more. The minimum size of the loan typically is £25,000.
