Once a budget airline touches down at an airport on a new route this area immediately becomes a much more attractive investment proposition for property investors.
These routes are very carefully chosen by the airline operators, who only go to places where there is a proven demand.
Improved transport links, such as new, low cost flights, are a key factor in property investment because they bring people and businesses into an area which, in turn, creates wealth. This will then drive the property market by increasing demand.
Another interesting fact is the low cost airlines tend to favour smaller airports, rather than the main capital landing spots, in a bid to keep operational costs down.
