When most people think of Slovakia, they think of the booming capital, Bratislava. All the attention is currently focused on the capital as the investment location of choice in 2007. The city certainly offers excellent growth after a flat period caused by over-supply.
Kosice, meanwhile, is quietly establishing itself as a potentially lucrative investment location where we are likely to see a continuation of turbo-charged price growth starting from a very low base in 2008.
Here property prices are half the price of those in the capital.
A full six hour drive east over the Tatras Mountains currently separates Kosice, Slovakia's lesser known second city, from the capital.
