The Government will shortly receive a report and recommendations from the Law Commission on how the private rented sector might be better regulated.
The results could have wide ranging implications for BTL investors, landlords, letting agents and the entire property market.
Tighter regulation of the private rented sector has been on the cards for many years and more recently government has sought to introduce various laws to control how landlords, their tenants and agents operate within the sector, to a lesser or greater degree.
The property market has clearly been at the centre of government policy for the last year or so and it seems to be adopting an increasingly proactive approach to tougher regulation.
