My 3rd visit to Warsaw is to view a number of development sites, the first in the North of the city in Bialoleka and the 2nd in Gdansk an internal flight away.
There is still evidence of money entering Warsaw with large BMW's and Mercedes being driven (badly) around the city. The roads are busy and the airport bustling with Polish coming back from the UK.
Looking at the map and trying to find the village of Kobialka I was worried with the distance but at closer view it was because I was at the airport the distance looked far. I took a taxi from the airport to the site and the drive; which included having to cut through the centre over the river Wisla only took 25 minutes. This was a clear run and although done at midday was easy and painless. I am told the journey will take longer at rush-hour, which is to be expected.
One knows when they are getting into the district of Bialoleka as the main road shifts from 3 lanes to 1 lane and detached houses spring up on either side. The further North I went, the more rural the feel and more pleasant the drive. The Zeranski Canal can be seen to the right of the road; this runs from the river Wisla and through the north of the city.
