The Polish media has been wall to wall with Euro soccer coverage since UEFA announced its selection to host the 2012 European Championships.
Such excitement hasn't been seen in the Polish media - or the bars, restaurants and offices - since the country's accession to the EU in 2004.
In truth, the UEFA decision has caused a great deal more of a stir.
For a start it's a huge boost for the confidence and pride of Poles who are famously soccer crazy, and a massive vote of confidence in their ability to organise and successfully host a multi-billion euro event such as the championships.
So, the decision has been a giant dose of the feel good factor, which undoubtedly means more consumer confidence to borrow and spend.
