A survey conducted in April 2008 by Polish DomBank during the exhibition
New house, new apartment
in London's Olympia Conference Centre, showed that every second Pole living and working in the UK is saving to buy an apartment or in Poland.
According to the survey, 37% plan on living in the UK for a specific period of time and then go back to Poland, while 16% of surveyed Poles said they will buy property as an investment and let it out.
I guess the survey's results won't surprise any Polish person living in the UK and even though the survey was small (around 500 people), I believe it is very representative.
Poles are home owners by nature and owning, not renting, is the priority for every household, especially for families.
