The big question is: ‘How do I spot a likely REITS area so as to cash in?’
Well, the answer must be, in essence, that a REITS area is a development area.
But the idea of being able to spot a potential REITS investment area and buying in that area in anticipation of a REITS pumping money into it would be foolhardy in the
extreme.
REITS, like any really large investor, have enough financial clout to come into an area, often a neglected part of a city, and literally to transform it with a series of
keystone developments.
Think of London’s Docklands; the development taking place in Liverpool’s Paradise Street development area and many others around the country. These are examples of how areas have been transformed by investment.
