It might not always be crystal clear what the phrase represents - until you come face to face with Old Europe!

New Europe is quite simply about youth - and I mean that in terms of outlook rather than simply demographics.

It isn't just about being part of the emerging economies of central and eastern Europe - being an EU accession or a candidate country doesn't automatically mean you get membership to this club.

No, New Europe, is about an attitude, and I would describe that attitude as youthful, certainly energetic, visionary, impatient and inclusive. It's a Europe that is hungry to trade with you and it doesn't much care who you are, so long as you speak a language it understands - the language of money.

At it's heart, it has a 'can do' attitude.
