The profitability of letting to students is amply demonstrated by some big company activity in this market, writes David Lawrenson.
And it's possible for landlords to get a slice of the action here too.
What we are now seeing more of is "halls" that provide self catering apartments which are managed by commercial companies.
One such company is Bournston. Others with similar schemes are AQH, Assetz, Unite Group and Watkin Jones.
