Foreign direct investment poured into Poland last year, latest figures show, revealing there is still massive growth to come in this market.
FDI into the country reached
€11.69 billion
last year -
up 46.6% from the €7.71 billion in 2005
, the National Bank of Poland said.
The amount of FDI exceeded the bank's earlier forecast by a huge €1.69 billion.
The EU was the biggest investor, with 75 per cent of the money coming from member states; but Asian investors also featured strongly, in particular Sharp and LG.
