These are where the tenants have been in occupation since before 15 January 1989 and they are regulated by the Rent Act of 1977.

They are also called statutory tenancies, regulated tenancies or protected tenancies.

Rent Act Tenancies may sound like a nightmare to a lot of landlords but there can be money to be made from them if you know how.
