Most landlords consider the 'let only' renewal fees charged by letting agents do not reflect the work actually undertaken.

New figures now also suggest there is a huge divide and apparent discrimination occurring, with southern landlords being charged even higher and more exorbitant fees in comparison to those operating in the rest of the UK.

The National Landlords Association (NLA) represents almost 14,000 landlords in the UK and has over 80 local authority associates, providing a comprehensive range of benefits and services to its members. It strives to protect and promote the interests of landlords operating in the private residential sector and acts as a collective voice, promoting a fair legislative and regulatory environment.

The NLA is in a unique position to gather information and opinions common to landlords in the UK ... and its most recent research has identified 73 per cent consider letting agent renewal fees are excessive and disproportionate to the work undertaken.
