Wroclaw looks set to fly high with a new PLN 600 million international airport - AND as Ryanair's new hub in Eastern Europe
28th February 2006
Two absolutely key reasons why Wroclaw is poised for excellent future growth - a brand new multi-million pound airport expansion AND Ryanair seems certain to make the city its main base in Eastern and Central Europe.
First, two facts every property investor should be aware of:
-
New airports or big expansion plans for airports create lots of jobs and lots of demand for housing.
-
Budget airlines - especially the big players, and Ryanair is the biggest - quite literally put locations on the map when they choose to fly there. When they choose a location to create a hub for their operations, the impact is magnified tenfold.
These two excellent growth indicators are coming together in Wroclaw where final plans are being examined to build a large new terminal at the city's international airport to cope with the huge growth in passenger traffic.
PLUS more airport investment a little further down the road will create a whole new PLN 600 million airport and conference centre and hotel complex.
Meanwhile, informed sources are indicating strongly that Ryanair will select Wroclaw as its central and eastern European operations hub.
