Brazil is Judged as the Best Valued Property Investment out of the Emerging Nations

Recent research conducted by the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate Market (AFIRE) indicated Brazil as the country most conducive to overseas investments for 2011 out of all of the so called ‘emerging nations’ – moving the South America’s largest economy’s position up from second from last year and beating China, India, Vietnam, Mexico, Poland and Turkey (Russia, as Brazil’s BRIC counterpart, held tenth place).

In all of the countries assessed for the greatest chance of recovery – Brazil ranked fourth behind the UK, China and the USA (but ahead of France and Australia).

The data was compiled in conjunction with the Wisconsin School of Business and James A Grasskamp Centre Real Estate who surveyed a number international real estate investors with aggregate assets valued at US$ 627 billion. Other interesting indications of interest for overseas property investors include:

• The best city for property investment in 2011 was stated as New York, followed by Washington, London, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Madrid, Sydney and Los Angeles;
• The U.S. also leads the ranking of countries as having the most stable and secure investment environment ahead of Germany, Canada, UK and Australia.
