Shay, CHL, Bank of Scotland, Bank of Ireland and IIB all lend to Southern Irish nationals on UK property. Had the same problem myself. Hope this helps any good broker such as the one recommended should be able to help as they deal with most lenders. CHL rates and interest cover currently the best .
