There seems to be information coming forward that Brazil could be a new hotspot for property.
Has anybody any comments on whether they think Brazil is worth a small punt on or not ?

Hi John: I have made comments before on Brazil, and yes it is now one of the 'hotspots'. I have bought 2 props on separate developments in Natal NE Brazil. I have done a lot of research, and I am sure that by 2009 this place will be hot hot.. They are building the 4th largest airport in the world in this area, the largest in South America. Also, a bridge that will connect from the airport to the Natal area in 30mins. Virgin are going in there, Thomson are already there.(8hrs from Europe) direct. They have predicted that by 2050 Brazil will be the 4th strongest economy in the world. A laot of investors are buying land at the moment for around £20,000 to build there own villa aor flip. I prefere at this stage to invest with a good developper. I have founde one, so if anyone wants a contact let me know or PS indeed. I have also been informed that the dollar mortgage will be in place soon.!Lynn

Lynn,
Thanks for your advice.
It stacks up with what I thought.
Can you possibly give me the name of developer as I am interested in buying land in Natal too. Is it in Maracajau ?
I have seen some plots for sale a lot pricier than the £20,000 you quote so it would be of great interest.
Thanks a lot.
John

Hi John: Don't wish to give dev. info on the web. I can email. Are you going to the PS seminar tonight in Oxford. or are you going to 'place in the sun' as dev.will be there. I can give you names of people selling land out thre also. But beware.

Hello Lynn, would be very grateful if you could forward the developer details as per your earlier posts. I'm in the infancy process of looking into Brazil, so any pointers and info would be gratefully received.
Many thanks

I still think of myself as a youngster. I'll be 90 in 2050!.
If I buy in Brazil when do you reckon I should sell?

Don't be so sarci Peter: You know exactly what was meant. Already the properties I have bought have gone up 5% within a few months. I have already said that I feel that by 2009 there will be a big cap.apprec. and the tourist industry will by thriving. Also, contrary to what has been written by PS there are an awful lot of very rich Brazilians out there, and statisticss will show you that they go on holiday to the NE area of Brazil.
