Hi

I friend of mine has approached me on purchasing apartments in the city of Hull, 1 beds 500 sqft for 130K. He is sending on info in the next few days. Has anyone any information on good and bad areas of Hull ?. What is the average price for apartments in the city of Hull ?. Is there good rental demand ?. Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Sounds about 30% overpriced to me.

May be a sweeping statement, but I would avoid city centre 1 & 2 bed new build flats like a bad headache.

Too much over supply, and best recipe for losing money at the moment.

I luckily only fell for the glossy brochure once and bought a new build flat 4 years ago, and I can’t get rid of it now, and rents have dropped 10% in 2 years on mine. Bad mistake.

I think others on the forum would probably give you similar advice currently. Yes it sounds at least 30% overvalued, if not more. When you get the brochure chuck it in the bin is my advice. May be look to CEE or keep your money in the bank and wait for the bottom of the market??

Good luck,
Chris.

Will promotion to the Premiership enhance the status of Hull?
Congratulations although I support the Baggies, and prefer our prospects!
