Has anyone experience of investing in Egypt, particularly the coastal areas around Sharm-el-Sheikh?There are numerous deals around on other sites at the moment, and prices are relatively low. I understand there may be some uncertainty in the area at the moment, but what do people think for the medium term?

Hi JamieI think you would be bonkers to consider Egypt as an investment option,unless you are looking for a place for your own use.You need to be a cash buyer there, and you would be better buying in central/Eastern Europe and gearing your money up.Also,with all the problems at the moment, and a definate concern about many Islamic countries, I would stay well clear for now.Also, it is a huge coastline, with many developments popping up all over the place...resale could be a definate problem....
