Hi,
Can anyone recommend a conveyancing lawyer specialising in residential property in the Caribbean? Preferably UK based, but I'll be grateful for any and all recommendations.

Hi Huw: I have a lawyer in Barbados, another lawyer in Dominican Republic, one for Brazil and Panama, all in each country and specialising in property. I think you should have a lawyer on the island or caribbean area where you intend to buy, as they are familiar with the customes and laws of the land. There are plenty of lawyers in the UK who have branches in the Caribbean, but they end up more expensive than the local ones, and don't always offer a better service.

Hi Lynn,
I'm planning to purchase in Barbados, so I'd be grateful for contact details of your lawyer there. A personal recommendation is worth it's weight in gold! Thanks in advance. Graham.
