It's not quite a no yet as I can see no 'good reason' why the developer shouldn't grant permission. As far as I can see the contract clearly states I can reassign it, so from a legal point of view that's that. If the situation were the other way round I wouldn't feel too confident about challenging it.
The two options possibly available are either to reassign as discussed or rescind the contract in some way and regain the deposit. Not ideal, but I talked over these and other possibilities with Dedak this week and am awaiting word back on what my options are.
I'll let you know what transpires, should probably be early next week sometime...
I'm still also researching a way to refinance my other properties to apply for a mortgage for Triveze - won't bore you with the details but current lender in the UK has strict rule regarding rent/payments ratio of 1.25 which needs another interest rate drop to satisfy...
