Do the comments being made about Germany becoming a good place to invest also apply to Austria? I'm working in Vienna right now and contemplating buying an apartment to live in for the duration, then renting / selling.

Hi Andrew Have you got any idea about the finance conditions for non resident EU citizens, in Austria? C.

Claude, I think it depends who you talk to ..... 1. Bank of Austria want me to mortgage my entire family before they will even consider my application. 2. Volksbank will apparently lend anything to anyone. 3. A couple of Austrian financial consultants don't see any issues and will offer me "normal" products. Surely such restrictions should disappear over time for all EU citizens and countries? But I digress - the key question is, can I make any money out there. Andrew
