Dear Property Secrets Team, In your recent book on IHT the advice states that non-UK domiciled spouses are liable for IHT on everything except the first £55,000 of the estate. I have received information to the contrary from another adviser. He claims that this £55,000 is in addition to the £285,000 'nil rate band'. Can you please advise?

Thanks GF. Glad to hear I am getting an accurate picture. For the record I think PS should update their IHT planning e-book?
