Can anyone tell me what is the legal requirements of converting a 1 bed to a 2 bed Buy to Let. I have just finished and someone scared me about all the legal requirements. I need to know about council tax and what I do when I rent the property out again. The mortgage and if I have to notify the lenders. Do I need an electrician to check it out even though I had a very capable but supposedly 'unqualified' electrician to rewire?
