I've just heard from the solicitor that Majolikova's final payment is to be delayed by 1-2 months. This is after I have already done the currency exchange as in the contract and request in an email from property secrets in September. How hard is it for property secrets and the solicitor to keep in contact so that we informed of what is going on! I suggest a few procedures are put in place to avoid this situation in future. E.g. Whenever a stage payment is required property secrets ring up the solicitor on behalf of the clients a few days before to ensure the payment is still required and let us know! I've spend a lot of money on both the original finders fee and the LCS service so I expect better service than this.

I heard from PS last Monday (20 Nov) in response to my enquiry as follows: 'We have just received a reply from the lawyers who have confirmed that you will be advised 2 weeks prior to signing. They have not given us a confirmed date as yet.'
Did you get your info direct from the lawyer or from PS?
Currently I am still holding the 85% balance and have not paid it over. Presumably everyone is doing the same ????

Nick, Martin,
I have heard nothing directly from Property Secrets or the lawyer. I have heard "through the grapevine" that there is a delay and I have asked the lawyer for an update.
I will not make any payment until I have confirmation from the lawyer. I see it as their job to let us know when it is ok to make payments (unless I have misunderstood their brief!).

Nick,
I did the exchange today as I assumed everything was going ahead. I emailed the solicitor to remind them to confirm the transfer with the developer next week. It was then that the solicitor informed me. See below for the exact response:-
"Please note that according to information provided by Orco (the developer) signing the ownership transfer agreements will not take place on the November 30th (due to the delays in the handing over of the apartments).
I was informed by the developers representative that the agreements should be signed in a month or two. Unfortunately I did not received a certain date yet. Therefore the second instalment can be paid later. The developer will inform us about the planned date of signing the agreements with at least two weeks anticipation."
Martin.
