Hi

I have two houses in Manchester that I purchased in 2004 from a company that are based in Manchester.

The houses worked very well for me I was getting good Yields. The houses are rented to asylum seekers. The rent is paid by the goverment to a management company who then transferred that money to my management
company and then it is transferred to me.

On the 1st of 07 the property management and sales company was split and the management was sold on to a new company. The same people worked on the management just under a new name. It's a disaster since. I don't get rent some months and only half more months I have a shortfall of £10,000 at the moment. When I call to ask what rent is on houses I am given different amounts so I really don't know what I should be getting.

I have contacted them 3 to 4 times a week and one pushes the blame on to the next.

Can anyone give me advice on how to tackle this problem. How do I find out what rent I should be recieving and how do I put enough pressure on them to get my rent and does anyone know of a good management company in Manchester

Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks

This looks like a scam . Only one option really take them small claims court after giving them 14 days notice to pay theoverdue sum ( plus interest) - you will have to trawl through your bank accounts and work out what is due.

I had a similar problem and I used a very good law firm in Liverpool - charged me £55 for the letters and issuance of the summons.

Don't try to do the preparation yourself so they take you more seriously

You MUST operate from a position strength in these matters and bring it legally to ahead asap at least so you do not lose any further sums.
