Peter, many thanks for your article on East European Property. As regards Poland, I have used BZWBK Bank (70% owned by Allied Irish Banks, Ireland) during 2007 for an 80% mortgage on a studio apartment in Poznan. They are very efficient once you complete the Application Form properly/completely. The main lending officials are ex. Irish and are very well experienced in Irish/English mortgages and the local scene in Poland. The contact I have in BZWBK in Poland is Carl Coates
and his internet address is "Carl.Coates@bzwbk.pl".
BZWBK also have specialised depts./staff for handling mortgages and loans.
They also have internet banking which I use from my home in Dublin and this allows me to make account transfers and print-off bank statements etc. All this eliminates time-consuming tasks and makes it much easier to monitor the bank accounts!
Best wishes for 2008.
