Hi, Just wondering what people's views / experiences / predictions are for property growth in Montenegro? I have been considering seaside reorts, such as Budva or Pohorac while Kotor could also prove interesting. But also wondering what the impact of Montenegro's vote for independence yesterday will bring....? Would be interested to hear opinions etc.

I'm surprised that nobody has replied to Kilian's post here -given the recent move to indepependenec and the possible acceptance into the EU. Has the war there just made it too big a risk? Or is everyone just keeping it to themselves???

Compared to last year (2006) I would say that prices (or owners' price expectations) are certainly growing far faster this year. I saw one property near Herceg Novi in April for 76,000 euro, last week the asking price was 120,000. I know the seller refused an offer for 100k. Same situation appears to be happening all the way down the coast.
