Oh...and we also have the possibility of Dutch investors who are here at the moment developing a 120 hectare international golf course with a few hundred houses and other leisure facilities. Golf and money go together.

Thanks for the update Charles. Could it be that Jucu apartments could be the redeeming feature of an otherwise lacklustre and draining portfolio? Any up-to-date info or pictures gratefully appreciated as I believe completion is due very shortly.

I've just come back from Jucu. All blocks have their roof on with windows etc in. The developer is now working on the insides with electrical installations completed. The estimated completion date is before Christmas. Sorry no pics!

The Cluj - Hungary section of the Transilvania Highway is definitely happening. I checked it out the other day and some sections have already had the asphalt laid. A second new Terminal building is nearing completion at the airport - the fastest growing airport in Europe. So, whilst it will take time, the infrastructure is actually happening rather than being another 'feasability' project.

Apart from that the best way to describe the market in Cluj is stagnant but if you take the long term view it remains the place to be.

You are right about the link between Golf and money, (although I play golf, still waiting for the link part to materialise).

I understand that Nicklaus Design are in the process of designing a course in Bucharest and one in Brasov. Cannot comment about the Bucharest course but the designs for the Brasov championship course have been approved.

Looking forward to giving it a try.

Travelling in Romania last week and was intrigued by a news story that two Lamborghinis had a head on collision in Bucharest. What are the chances of that happening in any European city!
