Hi Emporike is a good choice, but it really depends upon what you wish to achieve. The Central Bank in Cyprus has recently issued a series of directives based upon what has happened in the sub/mid prime markets and the credit squeeze is getting tighter. For example, Helenic bank will insist on proof of earnings, less interest bearing loans (including BTL mortages as well as your domestic mortgage) and they they will base their lending offer upon 35% of the residual income! Alpha bank tend to take a more pragamtic view and tend to be easier with thier criteria. A tip also to consider would be to take a swiss Franc based mortage from one of the Cypriot Banks - the interest rate is lower than Europe and the currency tracks the Euro closely - this reduces your costs consdierably.
