I am interested in the Platan investment, but have been worried by some of the comments on the forums about Mortgage problems and high interest rates in Poland vs the prospectus. Does this also mean that people have had difficulty obtaining the 85% funding promised in the prosepctus? I have only one overseas investment (aslo through PS - Lodz) so at the moment haven't gone thru the pain of arranging mortgages etc as it in nowhere near completion. However, the more I read these forums the less keen I am on buying any others until I know how difficult the process of fiancing/completing/renting actually is! But by then I could have missed out on much capital growth. Any advice from you more serious investors?!

Mark, my recommendation would be to talk to mortgage brokers and see what rates and LTVs are in fact available. Otherwise look at the 3.6% thread and base your calculations on a conservative LTV (say 60%). Huw

Thanks Huw. I think I'm going to pass on this one -I think it would be foolish to assume low interest rates and 85% LTV are going to be readily available.
