Dear all, I was interested in the discussion that was going on about Poznan as I would quite like to invest there myself. Given that PS does not have a deal there at the moment (at least I don't think so) has anybody bought there without PS and if so what are your experiences? I'm in the same boat, would like to invest in either Poznan or Lodz but at present PS don't have any deals going there,I have looked to find other companies but have havn't found anyone yet, unless that is you deal with say developers or agents direct, I personally would like a bit of backing from a UK company therefore I will either stick with PS or keep looking.Let me know how you get on.

Guys - promise - if we found a decent deal in Poznan or Lodz - we'd promote it!
This is, oddly, a good indication of the severe lack of supply in this market.
And, why prices are rocketing.
It is a bit frustrating tho'.
Cheers
Neil

See post re: Nickel House.
Could explain part of the reasons for lack of suitable deals!

I will keep you posted Rob how I get on with my search.
I would also like to have PS holding my hand if I enter the Polish market and I would also consider other towns like Krakow and Warsaw. However, I have just looked at the most recent development in Warzaw. If I understand the information correctly then I would need around £30,000 to £40,000 (forgot the precise figures) of my own cash to just go along. I envy all those guys who are investment bankers and do not have a problem with that but I do. I need an investment that is half that size so that I can keep some of my savings in case things go wrong. So I will keep searching! Keep you posted.
Dave, I just posted a reply in another thread: why is it that the Nickel House deal did not go ahead?

Kerstin,
The local council in Poznan has apparently ripped up 28 contructions permits at the applicaton stage.
Not sure why at this point.
Dave.

Rob, did you have a look at PS's Investment in Gliwice? It is not Poznan I know but it might be interesting if only for the fact that it seems possible to buy relatively low value units which would suit my budget und would make it easier for me to enter this unknown (to me) market. What are your views?
Only other thought I have is that Gliwice looks awfully small.

Still yet to look at this deal, however i did hear today of another company that may have some apartments coming up in the center of Poznan for about £80k, but Gliwice still sounds appealing.
If PS do source something in Poznan are they going to be duty bound to offer it to the clients that lost out on Nickel House first, if so there may be limited availability anyway.
