Thanks Peter for all your efforts its much appreciated. I guess Rednet looked slightly cheaper until Mike noticed some ommitions. Thanks to you too Mike.

Oliver, Ill admit that PS and Rednet would be my first choice if the service was competitive but on this occasion it doesnt seem so.

As a side not I have an excellent property manager in Poznan costing 200 PLN a month, all in (asicde from the initial 1 months commission fee)

James,

There seems to be an error in Olivers figures, at least in my case. I pay 176 PLN monthly management fee, - this includes vat and not 250 PLN as Oliver has stated. So, somewhere along the line ther is a discrepancy in the facts.

Or, more probably, you're individual arrangement is not the standard contract they offer. That's all we have.

I have not negotiated any special discounts. As far as I am aware, I am on a standard charging structure.

I think it is only fair to compare the two compnies equally. With L&L there are no I-Property Assets charges and at least in my case, the charges are less than published by Oliver.

I guess the customer can call and conduct his/her own research. Part of that research is solciting vews on price and quality of service. I am sure that James would appreciate any comments from RedNet customers or any other L&L customers. So if there are any out there willing to post......

Fair enough, Peter.

As always, it's down to the customer to choose his/her supplier. :o)

I-Property secrets will add a commission for 'facilitating' the process. They tried to charge me 2 - 3 % commission for the sale of my Romanian apartment on top of what the local agent was charging for forwarding the request to the local agent and then sending mails back and forth. Fortunately I contacted the local agent myself who speaks and writes in fluent English and reduced commission charges by 60%.

RedNet may be cheaper because they deal in high volume - L & L are a small consultancy and will offer a personal service. It just depends what you are looking for!

I'd just like to add that I think this thread is great example of an open and honest comparison by PS.

I am considering my options for two Future City apartments completing in October (hopefully) and appreciate this straightforward comparison of the numbers.
I think Peter's point about speed, personal contactr and minimising voids is a critical concern, especially for me.
I believe PS may well do better on a 'volume' deal as I recall that the tax services aren't repeated for each unit.

Well done PS for allowing a comparison and open discussion - I think it encourages customers if you are happy to stand by your offer and have it compared with rivals in the market.

Hello Alex,

L&L charge for the tax service on a per person basis not on a per unit basis. So, if you have several units, then there are economies of scale. Conversley, if you have only one unit then you don't benefit from this economy of scale.

All adds to the melting pot. As I said earlier, QOS was the major reason for my decision.

Just as an example of the difference between the personal service of L and L and the cannon-fodder approach of Rednet, I found myself in the unusual position of having my Krakow flat snagged by both companies last week.

No news from Rednet, and on past performance I wouldn't expect any, though I discovered at third hand that they had been in and done whatever it is they do.

From L and L I got notification the day before that they were going in and on the same day they did the snagging, I got a detailed report of their findings complete with photographs.
