the FDI monitor is a useful service, and much appreciated. one request: could you specify where the places involved are? e.g. this month's bulletin has only one item for poland, in kobierzyce - somewhere that in my ignorance i didn't know and couldn't work out which housing markets might be affected. i also note that the monitor missed out the announcement by swedish power company vattenfall of planned new investment in power generation across several sites in poland, including one valued at 5 bn euros (which of course can have both positive and negative effects on property).

sorry - the vattenfall investment i referred to in my previous post was reported but not yet conformed. perhaps why PS wisely saw fit not to include it. does sound like a poor month for FDI in CEE's largest economy though.

Hi Dan We do try to be as thorough as possible and I'm glad you find the Monitor useful. Of course, we will never pick up on everything, but you request to try and be more specific on locations is noted.

Likewise this is very good info. I can't help but suspect that it's biased towards areas where PS are concentrating at the moment, however e.g. Romania. Poor old Slovakia seems to be the forgotten friend. Huw

Hi Huw Not biased towards that at all - biased towards ease of obtaining information, perhaps, but not towards the areas in which we operate. We may look at those first - but we look at all and if the information is there, we'll use it.

Hi Huw I can confirm that we look at every country and echo Bens comments that it is sometimes not easy to obtain information on all markets. Some months there is simply no news for some of these markets whereas bigger markets such as Poland and Romania also tend to feature due to the size of their economies, Noreen
