Pablix,

thanks for your response.

This apartment would also be fully furnished with a car park space. I was expecting to be told it would be more like 650/700, and indeed it was when I had the conversation in November 2008, however as you say things have changed - it makes the cashflows look pretty horrible, completion is not until end of this year so potentially things could have got even worse.....

Thanks for your advice re. Gruo FDP, from my initial conversations I would agree they have been excellent.

Given the high interest rates offered by romanian banks for non-resident euro mortgages, the monthly repayments would require a significant top to the rent....not good times

Thanks for your time

Is there anyone on here that knows of anyone or any organisation that is willing to buy units in Greenfields. I have 2No studios that I have paid deposits on and would like to get rid of. I am willing to consider any serious offers?

Hi
Has anyone had any success in getting money refunded for an MRI Greenfields furniture package? Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I am in the same situation. I have bought a furniture package, the delays in installation are horrendous, and I am not sure how to get the moneyback. Of course, there is no help from MRI on this. Like yourself, I am looking for guidance.

No I think you will find is the answer, when i asked they just sent me a copy of their conditions stating that no refunds were made if you cancelled.

I was told at the meeting I had with them in Manchester that it was not possible because they had paid the supplier. Strange that if I took up their offer and bought in one of their developments I could transfer the furniture pack to that development.

Which leads me to think that they have not paid anyone for the packs at this stage. It would also answer why it takes so long to get the pack installed if they are paying the supplier when your unit is ready and not as they told me a huge waiting list and I'd better buy 6-months early at their inflated prices

Hi Pablix.
I read your post with great interest as i also have an apartment in Greenfields development in Topaz. I was able to acquire the property without mortgage but I have had a very bad aftersales response from MRI. I purchased the furniture through them also but i have had no news as to whether the apartment has been furnished or not yet and am unable to get a response from their 'aftersales' team.
May I ask who you rented your apartment out through please ?? I should have been getting a return on this investment a long time ago and this has become a very frustrating situation for me..
Thank You.

Even if the quality of the project was quite poor, I believe the area has great potential (City is developing to the north and all business centers and commercials are also in this area). I didn't had to ask for mortgage but if you are able to complete, I don't see the point of just running away.

Hi Gary..
Are progressing any faster than me ? have you managed to actually get some answers from MRI regarding where the furniture is or when it will be installed ? I've had a couple of random emails form them saying that there was a delay due to contractors having faced a minor issue with the connection of the mains gas connection to the hobs...? That was on the 27th Oct 2008 and then one since on the 2nd Dec saying there was a hold up with the sofa's in Valencia...?
