I paid mri €20,000, but there is one glimmer of hope as I paid €10,000 on credit card.
I am going to see if I can get that money back through the credit card company. I have paid for goods that have not been delivered and can not get an answer out of mri. It's got to be worth a go?

Definitely worth a go hangman - let us know how you get on. Unfortunately we paid for ours on debit card.

Lets keep each other updated.

Hi gary,

I am in exactly the same position with my Onix apartment.

I have also bought in Adelaide. I have only bought one furtniture pack which is for my Onix property. The proposed date for my Adelaide apartment to be ready is June. I have now successfully managed to move my furniture pack over to adelaide property. I am hoping then that the delays will be overcome with the furniture. However, it may require an element of wishful thinking on my part.

I am using Dutchie Management for my rental and other furniture pack.

Regards

It makes no difference if you have a good solicitor or not - as you say MRI have it all tied up in the contract that they are not responsible for any delays.

If you go down a legal route with them you will just be throwing good money after bad.

The credit card chargeback scheme however might be a glimmer of hope as this is dealt with by the card issuer not MRI.

If anyone else got the excuse about the problem with the gas at the apartment by the way, I have confirmation from the developers themselves that this was a lie.

I am in touch with watchdog and the ITV tonight programme - they are keen for us to all get in contact with them - the more cases the better the programme.
