Currently looking for Finance for Bellevue and Residenz Constanta.

Anyone have any contacts other than the PS recommended Easy Credit?

Would be grateful for people`s experiences with any mortgage companies / brokers.

Thanks

Simon

Simon did you buy as an individual or as a company?

I bought through a company and it looks as though getting a mort will be very tough indeed.

I just don't know how the others in Romania managed it... Buying as a company was probably the most rediculous thing I have ever done..

Let me know & I'll keep you updated.

Chris.

Any info helpful at this stage.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

What kind of information would you be interested in? I used to run a small financial brokerage company about a year ago, but conditions for mortgages have changed lately due to excessive mortgage growth, so I might not be up to date with my info. I know some brokers I consider reliable, so if you tell me what you would like to know, I might be able to help you.

Regards,
Geea

Hi Lloyds,

any reason why you are not using Easy Credit? I have bought as an individual in My Dream, and it sounds very straight froward to get a mortgage, but unexpected costs have now been presented.

What has put you off?

Mike,

No reason for not using Easy Credit, just want to keep all our options open / get the best deal.

My colleague has now spoken to them and yes it does sound easy & straight forward but so did Poland originally!

Are you saying they have billed you for charges not originally agreed?

Hi Lloyds,

I started the process some weeks ago, but this week, after resuming contact, I was told that they have very recently introduced a charge of 350 euros to assess mortgageability/prepare the documents, and 350 euros when the mortgage is agreed.

If it goes smoothly, these costs will be well worth it (I also suffered in Poland). Their process also saves me the cost of UK notary fees, and associated hassles.

Did Stefan mention the new fees to your colleague ?

Geea,

Just interested in reliable mortgage brokers or banks that people had had personal dealings with and can recommend.

Thanks

Mike,

Yes we are aware of these fees, appear to be 0.25% application fee and the same for a "success fee" with a minimum of 350 Euro for each.
