I passed my open water diver course in may last year. but i did it abroad. in gran canaria to be precise. I'm 17 and enjoyed every second of my diving. I'm going to malta in may to do my advanced open water. i'm debating whether to start diving in the uk but friends who have dived here said it was a waste of time as the visibility was pathetic. Should i not dive here and save my money or should i dive here. can sum1 help me decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diving in the UK is not a waste of time. I am currently taking my Advance Open Water, and have completed two dives at Capernwray in Lancashire. I too qualified abroad but UK diving has given me alot more confidence underwater. As for the vis its not as good as abroad but better than I expected. My advice is give it a go you've nothing to loose
