Hi Anna A very interesting article - thanks. I reckon you are about right - and that as conditions in the UK deteriorate and conditions (especially for English speakers) in Poland improve that the balance of migration will even out. That will mean that the NET migration out of Poland will be zero - ie the emigration and immigration will more or less cancel each other out. We've seen with Ireland (and to some extend Spain) what can happen when a 'home country' turns from an economic basket case to the new boom location - and that has boosted the populations (and imigration) into both Ireland and Spain - both of whom suffered substantial emigration during the 50s, 60s and 70s. I think the key point about your report is that there are significant reasons to believe that Poland is at a turning point for migration. And that, in a way, we shouldn't really be surprised. What we see again and again is that countries that are economically successful draw people to them - those that aren't don't! This is the number one reason why investing in property - in the Property Secrets view - should be based on a view of the medium term economic prospects. And that is why things look good for Poland - and not quite so good for the UK! Cheers Neil
