I really would appreciate some advise on my dilemma and am interested in different opinions on the below. I have possibly made a classic investment mistake in buying a property with a weak exit strategy. the property located close to Marbella but not it seems quite close enough for commuting. long term living as I have tried the long term market, schools and facilities etc. It is also it seems a difficult property to let out for holiday rentals as being in a very upmarket development it cannot be let out for the same rate as the cheaper stuff, my market it would appear is small if not non existant as I have infact sold NO weeks this season. This property is my largest investment and paying for it to keep it empty is painful - I would have to sell at least 20 holiday wks to break even.lettings may improve next year as the development becomes more complete with facilities. however is it worth holding on,I am considering selling and reinvesting into the London rental market with a few smaller investments elsewhere. I do feel that attaining 10 weeks of lets next year is even a tall order so surely a property in London with a low yield would be a better investment. I know property should be looked at in the long term but i feel like I have a beautiful but lame duck. Any comments are welcome. thanks.
