I am due to visit Wroclow in a weeks time with the intention of looking at off plan apartments and possibly land to buy. With this in mind I would welcome any suggestions on companies that could assist me in my purchase, i.e estate agents, letting agents, solicitors and mortgage brokers and also any personall experiences from ps members.

Hello Rob. I'm afraid i can't help with the info you requested as I'm in a similar position myself. But I'll be there 5/10 till 8/10 and again 19/10 till 29/10 so if you want to keep in touch post to my email address. I've been interested in buying there for a while, and have a reliable local student who will be assisting me in developing contacts. He was also at the REFE exhibition a few weeks ago. Stuart

I am also visiting Wroclaw in a few weeks to look at purchasing property. Are you guys hoping to make contact with local estate agent, developer, or use agent such as PS. Rob, If you are now back from Wroclaw I would be interested in how you got on, and any contacts you wish to share

Stuart,Graig,James i was in Wroclaw on the 9th of this month and i must say i came away with a good impression of the area.We visited the site of Centrall apartments which is only 10 mins from the main square, good site. The other developments seemed to be a bit far out in my opinion, I would prefer to be walking distance to the city. The current building work on the LG factory is quite immense, I believe this will employ 1000 workers who may wish to live nearer to there work but the students we were with would rent in the city.Discount prices against developers prices seemed genuine. My only concern is perhaps the rentall of the unit on completion, I think i would go for a two bed so as students could share to make it more affordable.Location is key.

Rob, What are the current developers prices for the central apartments, and is there much availability. PS offer a discount but how much is their 'finders fee'? When developers talk about a 50m2 apartment is that 1 or 2 bed? james

Rob, One further question, and hopefully I will abe able to share information with you when I get back from Wroclaw. Did you use a uk based agent, local agent, or just contact developers direct?

James When we spoke with the developers they had about 30 apartments left to sell, I forget the prices now but when we worked the figures back on the day PS were offering a good deal, they say 15% discount and i think that was correct. The finders fee is worked in price brackets, you best speak to PS on that but it's in the region of £3000 plus VAT, this still made it a good deal.Bedroom no's should be stated in the particulars, so a 50m/2 could be 1 or 2 bed. We had a polish coleague that took us round, showed us the area and interpreted for us with any developers, if you let me have your email i can pass you his contact details.

Hi Guys. I have just come back last night from Wroclaw after signing all my mortgage completion papers etc and guess what...I actually went inside my apartment!!! Mine is a 1 bed but quite a good size and the windows are large with plenty of light. Inside will be quite modern. However, the artist drawing we rec from Prop secrets looks much better that it actually is. From the artists pic whoever has puchased in front of the open space have got the best investment, because on the sides you are right next to other older apt blocks, at the rear end you are overlooking a school and a Police station. Apart from some ugly Pavelack communists buildings next to it,the area is lovely and very central for walking to the river and Rynek square which is beautiful Lynn
