In other news, the initial results of the i-PropertyAssets 2008 Landlord Survey will be published soon. We've had a good response so far and the numbers make for interesting reading. If you are a UK landlord and have not yet taken part, you can do so here.
You may have noticed that we pulled our last investment opportunity - Rezidence Odeon in Most, Czech Republic - rather suddenly. In a nutshell, we discovered some things about the deal that we did not think were in the best interests of our members and did not hesitate to withdraw it immediately. Investment Director Steve Desmond gives a fuller explanation below.
And, of course, we've published new articles and blogs, including Tony Booth's view of the future of UK property investment, a three part series from Property Secrets CEO Neil Lewis on his journey around Poland and the Czech Republic and news of a massive investment in the latter too...
Cheers

Why we pulled Rezidence Odeon - Steve Desmond, Investment Director
It appears that there are already too many foreign investors involved in the development - and in the future there will be more.
And a ratio of investor-owned properties that is above a critical point is always a deal breaker for Property Secrets.
I consider myself answerable to Property Secrets investors and I source deals on this basis. By putting this deal forward I would be compromising our members at a later date when it came to renting and selling.
As I'm sure you know, a huge amount of work goes into our deals before they get to the web page, and it is a difficult decision to withdraw something that I fundamentally believe is a very good investment opportunity.
But this is a decision I will make without hesitation when I believe it is against members' interests to go ahead.
