What the Property Investor Show showed us...

A strong indicator of the way things are in any market is the turnout at trade shows and exhibitions. An even clearer indicator is the TYPE of person who DOES show up. Last week's Property Investor Show at ExCeL was no exception.

Were numbers down in the face of the Credit Crunch and general ill feeling towards all things investment right now? Yes. Does that mean that property investment is dead? NO.

And here's why. While numbers were down, what you were left with was a sizeable number of shrewder, smarter, better educated and better equipped investors looking at the current global market as an opportunity - not a disaster.

In a nutshell, the amateur investor has been scared off, leaving the field clear for those investors like you to really take advantage.

i-PortfolioTracker Update

Development on i-PortfolioTracker continues unabated with two important developments this week. The software, which is the first no cost online portfolio management tool of its kind, is improving so fast that I'll be dedicating a new section of this newsletter to it every week from next week.

New to i-PortfolioTracker in the last seven days, though, is the introduction of a Portfolio Analysis section. Currently this contains rudimentary analysis tools which we're working on all the time and, at the request of one of our hundreds of users, the ability to view any tenancies that are in arrears at a glance.

The data shown includes which tenant, how much in total they are in arrears and since when - vital information for the landlord and managing agent alike to monitor and act upon and a demonstration of our commitment to provide the software you need to successfully manage your property portfolios, whether self managed or through lettings and management agencies.
