WOW! UK property prices are UP! Time to buy?

That's the latest news from the Halifax. We've got more on that below, asking the question - is now the time to buy? Lots are, should you be joining them?

The focus is entirely on the UK this week. As well as examining the fact that UK house prices went up (yes, it's worth repeating I think!), Tony Booth looks at where distressed seller hotspots might be - the places you can pick up a bargain (if you know what you're doing).

You will no doubt be aware that the UK base rate has once again been cut, now at just 1%. But do you know what the current Polish base rate is? Or Romanian base rate? No? It's easy to find out.
