Every year people make resolutions and set themselves new targets but have you done this yet for 2012?

We at Property Secrets believe in planning ahead and focusing on achieving our own personal targets so if you have some attractive goals to aim for by this time next year, why not follow our proven format to help you achieve what you want to - especially if investments are high on the agenda.

I usually start by writing down what I aim to achieve so that these targets are clear and can be regularly reviewed. January is a great month to start doing things. Networking, sourcing new opportunities and optimistically looking at ways to achieve your own targets.

There is no reason why every month, every week or every day cannot be the same!

Our first Property Presentation is in London on Thursday January 19th and these are great ways to meet with other investors and to see what is on offer in the world of below market value property. Our team will describe what makes attractive investments and focuses on the yield and cashflow of an investment above all. We highlight investment hot spots and what not to go for and why. We also describe how we operate as a team and can answer any questions asked through our number of Portfolio Managers in attendance.

I would advise that a networking event of this sort would be a must do for any keen property investor that has (or has yet to have) a plan in place.

Meeting our Portfolio Managers on a One-to-One level is also something we can recommend. Sitting down over a coffee in the New Year to discuss your aims and what you want to achieve is a very healthy way of finding out how best to strategies your plan.

So In theory and in practice, you should start by writing your plans down, looking at opportunities to start putting your plans in place and acting on your plans before it's too late.
