According to the latest data published by National Statistical Office the average property price in Bulgaria dropped 10% quarter-on-quarter in Q2. On yearly basis, the drop was 22%.
In Q2, the averge price in the country was €551/ sqm.
On quarterly comparisons one of the highest drops in Q2 were seen in Ruse and Plovdiv (14%), followed by Sofia and Burgas (12%). Varna noticed 8% decrease.
Year-on-year, one of the highest drops were recorded in Q2 in Ruse (41%), Veliko Tarnovo (38%) and Stara Zagora (31%). Sofia saw 25% decline, Varna 15% and Plovdiv 22%.
The lowest drops were recorded in smaller and less recognized Bulgarian property markets like Shumen, Yambol, Haskovo or Dobrich.
Among main cities, Varna's market seems to be holding better than others are.
The average property price in Q2 was €895/ sqm in Sofia, €937/ sqm in Varna, €595/ sqm in Plovdiv, €528/ sqm in Ruse and €755/ sqm in Burgas.
The figures are published by National Statistical Office every quarter and don't include new properties.
