21 July 2009
Fitch Rating confirms that Polish GDP growth in 2009 is likely to be around 0%.
The rating agency underlines that the economic growth in Poland is strictly linked to the economic situation in the country's trade partners, especially Germany. However, the dependence on foreign trade is overall smaller than in other countries.
This according to Fitch along with strong banking system, is one of the reasons why Poland is expected to perform better than other European countries.
Fitch is confident that Poland will be able to tackle the weakening external financial conditions in successful way.
