Forecast for Czech economy revised down

Czech Ministry of Finance revised its April's forecast down.
The Minister expects that GDP will contract twice as much in 2009 as it was previously forecasted, i.e. 4.3% instead of 2.3%. This would be the deepest recession in the country since 1991.
In 2010, Czech economy should growth 0.3%.
The Ministry of Finance also increased 2009 forecast for public sector deficit from 4.5% to 5.5% and for the total government debt from 33.9% of GDP to 34.5% of GDP.
