German export shows 7% surge
07 August 2009
German export unexpectedly increased 7% in June, which is the biggest rise since September 2006.
The largest European economy is export-lead and consequently the latest data raises hopes for early recovery of this economy.
In turn, this also increases hopes for earlier recovery of many other economies in Europe, which have strong trade ties with Germany like Czech Republic for example.
