Lithuanian economy contracts 22.4% in Q2

According to preliminary figures published today by the national statistical office, Lithuanian economy dropped 22.4% year-on-year in Q2.
This is much worse result than the one achieved in Q1, when GDP declined 13.6%, and far worse than economists' expected.
In the first half of 2009, Lithuanian GDP was LTL43.4 bn, which is 18.1% lower than a year ago.
This is one of the worst results in the EU.
